Handcrafted Garments for Time-Sensitive Moments
While Tailored Society is built upon the intention, patience, and artistry of true bespoke tailoring, we recognize that certain moments in a gentleman’s life require a garment on a condensed timeline. The Rush Process exists solely for these occasions — when an event approaches quickly, when calendars shift unexpectedly, or when a refined, well-fitted garment is needed in a matter of weeks rather than months.
This offering maintains our commitment to thoughtful service and refined presentation while honoring a strict turnaround of approximately three weeks.
The Introduction Call
Every rush commission begins with a warm and courteous conversation to understand the client’s needs, event details, and timeline expectations. During this conversation, we explain exactly how the Rush Process differs from our bespoke offering, discuss fabric limitations tied to expedited production, and clarify the investment. This call ensures that both the client and our team are aligned in purpose, expectations, and timing before moving forward.
The Accelerated Studio Appointment
Once the client confirms that the Rush Process aligns with their needs, we invite them into our appointment-only studio for a focused and intentional design session. Although the timeline is compressed, the atmosphere remains elevated. Clients are welcomed with curated cocktails and libations as they settle into a refined environment that sets the tone for thoughtful decision-making.
During this appointment, we discuss the garment’s purpose, styling, aesthetic direction, and functional requirements. We take precise measurements and observe posture, shoulder balance, stance, and other details that influence fit. While the Rush Process does not involve a hand-drafted pattern, these observations inform the adjustments we make to the existing made-to-measure pattern to ensure a refined outcome. The appointment concludes with all fabric and design decisions finalized, allowing production to begin immediately.
Fabric Selection From Approved Mills
Because the Rush Process operates on a strict three-week delivery timeline, fabric selection must come from mills that can ship cloth immediately. These curated fabrics are of excellent quality but represent a smaller selection compared to our full bespoke library. By working exclusively with mills that support expedited delivery, we eliminate the risk of delays and ensure that the garment can be produced without compromise to the timeline.
Clients still receive guidance and education through this part of the process — discussing weight, drape, composition, and character — but within a specialized subset of fabrics capable of meeting the schedule.
Garment Creation Through Made-to-Measure
Unlike our bespoke garments, which begin with a hand-drafted pattern and evolve through multiple fittings and extensive handwork, the Rush Process uses a made-to-measure garment that is created through precision machine construction. This approach allows us to maintain quality while meeting the accelerated timeline.
Once measurements and design choices are finalized, the garment moves directly into production without a baste fitting or intermediate stages. The tailoring partners who create our rush garments operate with speed, accuracy, and consistency, enabling us to deliver a refined garment in approximately three weeks.
The Rush Process is not bespoke — and is never presented as such. It is a thoughtful, time-conscious alternative designed specifically for urgent needs.
The Final Fitting & In-House Refinements
When the garment arrives at our studio, the client returns for a fitting. Although the garment is machine-made, we refine the fit with the same care and attention expected from Tailored Society. Our in-house tailor performs necessary adjustments, which may include shaping, sleeve length adjustments, trouser hemming, waist refinement, or subtle balance corrections where possible.
These thoughtful final touches ensure the garment looks polished, feels comfortable, and presents the client with confidence — even when created under a compressed timeline.
When the Rush Process Should Be Used
The Rush Process is intended only for moments when time is the defining factor. It is not a substitute for bespoke tailoring, nor is it offered as a standard alternative. Instead, it exists for special situations requiring urgency: an unexpected event, a rapidly approaching wedding, a sudden formal requirement, or any instance where a gentleman needs a refined garment in a matter of weeks.
While this process produces an exceptional made-to-measure garment, it does not replicate the artistry, handwork, or sculpted fit of true bespoke. Rather, it offers a thoughtful, efficient solution that upholds Tailored Society’s standards of professionalism, guidance, and presentation.
A Final Note on Craft & Intention
The Rush Process serves the timeline.
Bespoke serves the man.
Both are executed with intention — but each fulfills a different purpose. When time permits, bespoke remains the pinnacle of craftsmanship. When time does not, the Rush Process ensures that a gentleman never has to sacrifice refinement, confidence, or elegance.
